description:

The 12V~24V AC/DC (A/D) optical control switch circuit uses a bridge rectifier circuit for AC/DC conversion, and a Zener diode limits the circuit to operate at 12V. A miniature inverting Schmitt trigger and a phototransistor are used to detect the ambient light intensity. If enough light enters, the inverter will disable the push-pull oscillation circuit. When a differential oscillating circuit is activated, the driver circuit can generate a gate voltage that provides a turn-on of a pair of N-FETs. This transistor switch can handle AC and DC current sources in excess of 5 amps.
