China's LED market is expected to reach a scale of 157 billion yuan in 2011

China's LED market in 2011 According to China National Semiconductor Lighting Engineering R&D and Industry Alliance (CSA) forecast, China's LED market is expected to reach 157 billion yuan in 2011. Among them, the upstream industry is about 7.5 billion yuan, the middle industry (LED packaging, etc.) is 28.5 billion yuan, and the downstream industry (equipment and other applications) is 121 billion yuan. In addition, about 70% of downstream industries are exported.

In China, the phenomenon of flooding of LED companies has now occurred and is being eliminated and integrated like other countries. However, the top ten LED companies in the world have intensified their marketing in the Chinese market. China's LED market can be said to remain active.

CSA said that overseas companies are currently selecting locations for midstream and downstream product manufacturing plants in China. In addition, a large number of Taiwanese companies have entered the LED market in China, and their market position is improving.

CSA also announced the setting of China's MOCVD equipment. By the end of 2010, there were 300 MOCVD units installed, and as of now – November 2011, more than 600 have been installed. However, the growth rate of the number of MOCVD devices is expected to slow down in the future. Previously, the MOCVD device was set up to enjoy the purchase subsidies granted by the Chinese government. Therefore, the number of installations has been steadily expanding. However, with the suspension of the subsidy system in the first half of 2011, the number of setups will appear to be difficult to increase in the past.

It is estimated that MOCVD equipment companies will be affected by this situation. Because it is impossible to obtain orders as large as in the past, these companies will also provide technical support to Chinese companies in order to maintain customers. Take AIXTRON, the main MOCVD device company in Germany, as an example, it held a meeting on its own during the forum and put forward a gesture of strengthening technical support to Chinese customers. The company spent a period of one day detailing the related issues from the operation of the MOCVD plant to troubleshooting.

At the closing ceremony of the China Construction Packaging Factory Forum, Nichia Chemical planned to collaborate with famous LED companies such as Nichia Chemical Industry, Cree, OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, and Epistar Taiwan. seat.

At the meeting, Nisaki Tanaka, deputy director of Japan's chemical industry and president of China, said that “90% of Nissan's sales come from Asia. We have plans to invest in building packaging factories in China in the future. Design Center to provide the most suitable products for Chinese companies."
