According to Cree, as a white LED with a luminous flux of more than 1000 lm, the package area is at a minimum level. Xlamp MPL EasyWhite has a model with a color temperature of 4000K and a model with a color temperature of 2700K. According to the brightness, the two products have two grades respectively. In terms of luminous flux, the 4000K product has a minimum of 900 lm and a minimum of 800 lm when the input power is 11.3 W; the 2700K product has a minimum of 800 lm and a minimum of 700 lm under the same conditions. According to Cree, the current flowing through the power supply is 11.3W is 450mA. If the current is increased to 600mA, the luminous flux can be increased to about 1.2 times. If the current is further increased to 750mA (the power is equivalent to 19.9W), then The luminous flux is further increased by about 1.1 times. Cree wants to replace the halogen lamps used in Spot Lights such as shops with new products. By reducing the package area of ​​the product, it can be easily applied to, for example, a spotlight that has been using an MR16 type halogen lamp. Cree also emphasizes that in the past, when multiple white LEDs were used, the color temperature and luminous flux of each white LED were different from each other. To achieve greater luminous flux in smaller package sizes, Cree reduced the thermal resistance of white LEDs and packaged 24 blue LED chips. The blue LED chip packaged in the white LED is a product called the Size Size. According to Cree, this is between a size of about 300μm square called a standard size and a size of 1mm square called a large size. Each of the blue LED chips was coated with a yellow phosphor, thereby obtaining white light. The luminescence spectrum of the entire package is a superposition of the luminescence spectra of the 24 LED chips.
