According to FF's news, two core members of the autopilot team were Jan Becker and Hong Bae. The former served as senior director of autonomous driving at FF, who served as senior director of assisted driving systems and automated driving technology.
The above two were all core members of the US DARPA (United States Department of Defense Advanced Research Projects Bureau) competition in 2007. DARPA is honored as the “Black Technology Institute†of the United States.

In the 2007 DARPA competition, Jan Becker was a key member of the then runner-up team Stanford Racing and head of team software and testing.
Before joining FF, Jan Becker worked for Bosch, the world's largest automotive supplier for a long time, and was Bosch's top expert in the field of automated driving. He also served as the head of Bosch's North American R&D center. At the same time, since 2010, Jan Becker has also taught driving assistance and automated driving at Stanford University. In addition, Jan Becker is an inventor in the automotive field and has more than 50 patents in the field of assisted driving and automatic driving.

During the 2007 DARPA Challenge, Hong Bae served as a representative of General Motors as the chief engineer of Tartan Racing and led the team to win the championship. Prior to joining FF, Hong Bae was the chief engineer of Fisker and was responsible for all aspects of research and development from ADAS to powertrain systems.
According to the official news of FF, the number of FF American teams has exceeded 860, and the number of teams in other parts of the world has exceeded 400. Over the past year, FF has filed over 100 patent applications with the U.S. Patent Office. The latest development is that FF's Beta Car has entered the trial phase.
