Temperature control / constant temperature soldering iron operation method and instructions

I. Use steps:

1. Make sure the asbestos is wet.
2. Remove impurities from the surface of the heating tube.
3. Make sure the soldering iron screw is not loose.
4. Confirm that the 220V power outlet is plugged in.
5. Turn the power switch to the ON position.
6. Adjust the temperature setting adjustment knob to 300 °C. After the heating indicator light is off, use a thermometer to measure whether the temperature of the soldering iron tip is within 300 °C ± 10 °C; then heat to the required operating temperature.
7. If the temperature exceeds the range, it must be stopped and sent for repair.

3. The most appropriate working temperature 使用 Using too low a temperature during the soldering process will affect the fluency of the solder. The following are the appropriate operating temperatures for various soldering jobs:

Generally tin melting point 183 ° C ~ 215 ° C (about 361 ° F ~ 419 ° F)
Normal operating temperature 270 ° C ~ 320 ° C (about 518 ° F ~ 608 ° F)
The production line uses a temperature of 300 ° C ~ 380 ° C (about 572 ° F ~ 716 ° F)
Tin suction working temperature (small solder joint) 315 ° C (about 600 ° F)
Tin suction working temperature (large solder joint) 400 ° C (about 752 ° F)

Note: In the red zone, the temperature exceeds 400 ° C (752 ° F), do not use often or continuously; occasionally need to use in large solder joints or very fast soldering, only for a short time.

4. How to use and maintain the tip:
(1) The main reasons for the soldering iron tip not being tinned are as follows: Please avoid as much as possible:

(1) The temperature is too high, and when it exceeds 400 °C, it is easy to oxidize the surface of the tin.
(2) The tinned surface is not tinned at the time of use.
(3) Too little flux during soldering; or the use of active flux will cause the surface to oxidize quickly; the water-soluble flux will corrode at high temperatures and will damage the soldering iron tip.
(4) The sponge used for wiping the iron head is too high in sulphur, too dry or too dirty.
(5) Exposure to organic matter such as plastics; lubricating oils or other compounds.
(6) The tin is impure or the tin content is too low.
(2) Precautions and maintenance methods for the use of soldering iron tips:

(1) Before the power supply is sent every day, remove the residual oxide, dirt or flux on the soldering iron tip; and remove the impurities in the heating body to prevent the soldering iron head from being stuck with the heating element or the sleeve. Lock the tip at any time to ensure it is in place.
(2) When using, first set the temperature to preheat at about 200 °C, and then set it to 300 °C when the temperature is reached. When it reaches 300 °C, it must be tinned in real time before the soldering iron tip is tinned. After 5 minutes, the test temperature is set to the desired operating temperature.
(3) When welding, the tip should not be used to force or squeeze the object to be welded, and it can not be welded by friction. This does not help the heat conduction and damages the tip of the tip.
(4) It is not possible to rub the tip of the object with a rough surface.
(5) Do not use chlorine or acid flux.
(6) Do not add any compound to the tinned surface.
(7) When not in use for a long time, lower the temperature to below 200 °C, and protect the soldering iron with tin. Do not wipe it; only wipe it on the wet sponge when soldering, and re-stain the new tin at the tip. Share.
(8) After the work is completed on the same day, wipe the tip of the soldering iron without wiping, re-stain the new tin on the tip part, store it on the soldering iron frame and turn off the power.
(9) If the tinned surface is oxidized and cannot be tinned, or the oxide film becomes black due to flux, if it cannot be removed with a sponge, it can be gently wiped with a sandpaper of 600 to 800 mesh, and then wound with a solder wire containing a flux. After rubbing the tinned noodles, add the warm tin-tin contact and melt and then re-add tin.

V. Replacement and maintenance of the tip:
(1) When replacing the soldering iron tip, please make sure that the heating element is cold, so as not to burn your hands.
(2) Turn the nut counterclockwise to remove the sleeve. If it is too tight, clamp it with pliers and gently rotate it.
(3) Clear the debris in the heating body and replace it with a new tip. The heating method can be carried out according to the second item (2) of the sixth item.
(4) If a soldering iron is stuck, do not pull it out to avoid injury to the heating element. At this point, the rusting agent can be used to spray the stuck part and then gently rotated with pliers.
(5) If the card is in serious condition, please return it to the dealer for processing.
General maintenance:
(1) The plastic case or metal part can be wiped with degreased oil under cooling. Do not intrude into any liquid or allow any liquid to intrude into the machine.
(3) Do not strike or hit the soldering iron to prevent the heating tube from being broken or damaged.
(4) If there is oxide in the tip during operation, it must be cleaned immediately with asbestos.
(5) Asbestos must be kept moist and must be cleaned every 4 hours.
(6) If the soldering iron tip is oxidized, apply 600~800 fine sandpaper to remove impurities, then use tin to heat the coating; if this method still cannot eliminate the oxidation phenomenon, replace the soldering iron head immediately.
