XLPE Insulated Power Cable is used to transmit electricity on AC 50Hz power transmission and distribution lines with rated voltage 35kV or lower. Compared to PVC Insulated Cable, XLPE insulated electrical conductor boasts excellent electrical and mechanical properties, heat and aging resistance, environmental load resistance and chemical corrosion resistance. The simple and light-weight structure of the electrical cable allows for easy installation.
Standard Compliance for XLPE Insulated Power Cable
- GB/T 12706.1-2008 (refer to IEC 60502-1) Rated Voltage 1kV(Um=1.2kV) and 3kV(Um=3.6kV)
- GB/T 12706.2-2008 (refer to IEC 60502-2) Rated Voltage 6kV(Um=7.2kV) and 30kV(Um=36kV)
- GB/T 12706.3-2008 (voltage grade exceeding IEC 60502) Rated Voltage 35kV(Um=40.5kV)
Working Conditions for XLPE Insulated Power Cable
- Max working temperature of the insulated power conductor is 90ºC. In case of a short (lasting less than 5 secs), the max temperature of the cable conductor shall not exceed 250ºC. Environment temperature should be no lower than 0ºC when laying the cable.
- Bending radius allowance of XLPE Insulated Power Cable

The single-core magnetism material packs the cable is not suitable to use for AC power supply back track, the necessity hour eligibility uses the single-core 62 or 72 type pack the cable.
