Voice coil calculation formula

1) Voice coil number = DC resistance × 1000000 ÷ 3.14 ÷ (voice coil inner diameter) ÷ line diameter impedance


2) Voice coil volume = number of turns × maximum outer diameter of the wire diameter ÷ voice coil layer + (coefficient × wire diameter maximum outer diameter)

(When the wire diameter is copper wire, the coefficient is 1.5 times; when the wire diameter is CCAW, the coefficient is 1.2)


3) Maximum outer diameter of voice coil = maximum outer diameter of wire diameter × 2 × number of voice coil layers + 2 × BOBBIN thickness + voice coil inner diameter + coefficient

(When the layer is less than or equal to the second layer, the coefficient is 0.1; greater than the second layer, the coefficient is 0)


4) Voice coil winding weight = DC resistance × 1000 ÷ wire diameter impedance × wire diameter specific gravity (unit: gram)


5) The calculation formula of the flat line is the same as the above formula, but the change is: there are some differences between the calculation of the web width and the maximum outer diameter as the flat line is vertical or flat, as follows:


When A is winding:

1) voice coil volume = number of turns × maximum diameter of the flat wire thickness diameter ÷ voice coil layer

2) Maximum outer diameter of voice coil = maximum outer diameter of flat line width diameter × 2 × voice coil layer + 2 × BOBBIN thickness + voice coil inner diameter


When B is flat:

1) voice coil volume = number of turns × maximum outer diameter of the flat line width diameter

(When the wire diameter is copper wire, the coefficient is 1.5; when the wire diameter is CCAM, the coefficient is 1.2)

2) Maximum outer diameter of voice coil = maximum outer diameter of flat wire thickness diameter × 2 × voice coil layer + 2 × BOBBIN thickness + voice coil inner diameter + 0.1

6) Calculation formula of voice coil BOBBIN weight:


BOBBIN weight = BOBBIN length × BOBBIN height × BOBBIN thickness ÷ 1000 × BOBBIN specific gravity (unit: gram)


7) The weight of the reinforcing paper is calculated in the same way as the BOBBIN weight.


In the above formula:

The wire diameter impedance, the wire diameter specific gravity, the maximum outer diameter of the wire diameter, and the BOBBIN specific gravity are all referred to the relevant schedule.

Example: The voice coil specification is: 25.4×22×3.6×0.19×ASV/0.07 second floor

Number of turns = 3.6 × 1000000 ÷ 3.14 ÷ 25.4 ÷ 640.6 = 70.5

Coil = 70.5 × 0.221 ÷ 2+0.221 × 1.5 = 8.1

Outer diameter = 0.221 × 2 × 2 + 2 × 0.07 + 25.4 + 0.1

Line weight = 3.6 × 1000 ÷ 640.6 × 0.26 = 1.46

BOBBIN weight = 25.4 × 3.14 × 22 × 0.07 ÷ 1000 × 2.73 = 0.34
