The financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.

BridgeLux, a US-based company that develops and manufactures LED chips, packages and optical modules. Currently, it has more than 750 technical patents on LED chips and packaging, and is cross-licensed with CREE patents. Its products can be sold without patent risk on a global scale. Its high-power, high-brightness LED packaging technology is in line with Cree (USA), Philips (Europe), and Citizen (Japan). It has established a global sales relationship with more than 200 customers worldwide.

Xenio will focus on the design and manufacture of LED modules with the goal of capturing the emerging $135 billion IoT lighting market.

The acquisition is expected to be completed within the next six to eight weeks, subject to regulatory approval.
