Changing the home's electric light into a networked LED light bulb is the easiest way to implement a smart home. Many times, it's easy to get your home's smart lighting system up and running. Once you automate the equipment you use at home, you don't need to use a mobile phone to control it.
Sometimes the smart home system will inevitably still fail, then you need to re-open the app for maintenance. If you are in trouble, try to restore your light bulb to its default settings. It sounds a bit complicated, but it's actually very simple to do - let's talk about how different brands of smart light bulbs can be restored to their default settings:
Belkin WeMo LED Bulbs
Turn on the WeMo LED light first, then turn it off, wait 1 second and then turn it back on. After 3-4 seconds, repeat the previous operation twice. After a total of three repeated OFF/ON operations, the lamp will flash, indicating that the manual reset was successful.
After the lamp is reset, you only have 4 minutes to pair it with WeMo Link or a compatible control device (SmartThings Hub). If the pairing is not successful, you will need to reset it again.
OsramLightify LED Bulb
Turn on the lamp for 5 seconds, then turn off for 5 seconds, repeat the operation 5 times, the lamp will flash, indicating that it successfully restored the default settings.
TCP LED bulb
Turn off the lamp first, then turn it on, then turn it off, repeating 3 times. After three times, turn on the light and keep it on. After a few seconds, it will flash slowly, indicating that it can access the TCP gateway.
Cree Connected LED Bulbs
The manual reset of the Cree Connected LED is the easiest one we have tried. Turn off the bulb for 2 seconds, then turn it on for 2 seconds, and repeat it more than 3 times. After 4 such cycles, the lamp will flash, indicating that the reset was successful.
GE Link LED Bulb
GE Link LED light reset needs to be repeated 5 times off/on operation, and press it every 3 seconds after pressing the switch. If the operation is correct, the lamp will flash slowly, indicating that the reset was successful.
Philips Hue LED Bulbs
　　
Due to the limitations of the Philips Hue API, there is currently no way to remove a light bulb from the app, and there is no easy way to manually reset the light bulb. The best option is to force a factory reset on the Hue Bridge button, but this will remove all the bulbs and scenes, then you will need to reinstall the entire lighting system. The operation is as follows: Switch the Bridge button, then press and hold the "Restore Factory Settings" button for a few seconds to restore the factory settings.
