The annual output of nuclear power in China broke 100 billion

Recently, the China Nuclear Energy Association announced the 2013 nuclear power operation in China. It is understood that as of December 31, 2013, the number of nuclear power units put into commercial operation in China has reached 17 units, with a total installed capacity of 14,833.79 megawatts, accounting for 1.19% of the total installed capacity of power generation in the country. In 2013, a total of two new nuclear power units were added, namely the Unit 1 unit of Fujian Ningde Nuclear Power Plant (putting into commercial operation on April 15 with an installed capacity of 1,089 MW) and Unit 1 of Liaoning Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Plant (June 6th). Into the commercial transport, installed capacity of 1118.79 MW). The reporter found that comparing the statistical data of China Electric Power in recent years, this is the first time that China’s nuclear power generation exceeded 100 billion kilowatt-hours.

Cumulative power generation increased by 12.62% over the previous year

The figures released by the China Nuclear Energy Industry Association show that in 2013, the country’s cumulative power generation amounted to 525,411,000 kWh, and the cumulative power generation of nuclear power was 110.71 billion kWh, which accounted for approximately 2.11% of the country’s cumulative power generation. Compared with coal-fired power generation, nuclear power is equivalent to reducing the burning of 35.87 million tons of standard coal, reducing emissions of 93.9795 million tons of carbon dioxide, reducing emissions of 300,900 tons of sulfur dioxide, and reducing emissions of 255,400 tons of nitrogen oxides.

The accumulated power generation of nuclear power during the year was 110.71 billion kWh, an increase of 12.62% over 2012, and the cumulative amount of on-grid electricity was 104.09 billion kWh, an increase of 12.38% over 2012. In 2013, China’s nuclear power generation and on-grid electricity continued to show a good upward trend.

In 2013, each operating nuclear power plant strictly controlled the operational risk of the unit and continued to maintain a safe and stable operation. No operational event at the international nuclear event classification (INES) level 1 or above occurred. No major or above safety production incidents, environmental incidents, or radiation pollution incidents occurred in each operating nuclear power plant. No fire and explosion accidents occurred and no occupational disease accidents occurred.

Annual emissions of power plants below the national standard limits

In accordance with the national environmental protection regulations and environmental radiation monitoring standards, and in accordance with the emission limits approved by the management department, each operating nuclear power plant has strictly controlled the discharge of radioactive discharges and effectively monitored the surrounding environment of the nuclear power plant. The results of environmental monitoring in 2013 showed that the discharge of radioactive effluent from various operating nuclear power plants during the year was far below the national standard limit. Monitoring data shows that the measured ambient air absorbed dose rate is within the fluctuation range of the local local radiation level.

As of last year, the total installed nuclear power capacity that China put into commercial operation was 14,833.79 megawatts, an increase of 2299.59 MW over the total installed capacity of 12538.2 MW in 2012. In addition to the addition of Unit 1 of the Ningde Nuclear Power Plant and Unit 1 of the Liaoning Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Plant, in August 2013, China Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. formally issued a document clarified the installed capacity of its subordinate operating nuclear power units, and will operate the China Nuclear Power Second Plant 3 The capacity of the No. 4 assembly machine was adjusted from 650 MW to 660 MW, and the capacity of the No. 1 and No. 2 machines of China National Nuclear Operations was adjusted from 700 MW to 728 MW; in October, China National Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. will use Daya Bay nuclear power. The assembly capacity of Plant No. 1 and No. 2 was adjusted from 983.8 MW to 984 MW, the capacity of Lingao Nuclear Power Plant No. 1 and No. 2 was adjusted from 990.3 MW to 990 MW, and Lingao Nuclear Power Plant Nos. 3 and 4 were installed. The installed capacity was adjusted from 1080 MW to 1,088 MW.
